Teacher: Salary Scale K1

Berhampore Kindergarten (2 part-time positions) - There are two permanent part-time positions available at  this kindergarten in the vibrant Berhampore community.  The size of the positions are 0.7 (28 hours per week) and 0.5 (20 hours per week). This kindergarten operates with 6-hour sessions 3 days per week for older children and 4-hour, 10 minute sessions 2 days per week for younger children.  The successful applicants will be part of a team of 5 teachers, 3 full-time, 2 part-time.  Duties to commence beginning of Term 2, 19 April 2010.  Applications close Friday, 9.00am 19 March 2010.

Matairangi Kindergarten (2 x 1-year relieving positions) – There are two 1-year full-time relieving teacher positions in this kindergarten situated in Hataitai, in Wellington’s eastern suburbs, not far from the CBD.  It operates with 6-hour sessions every day.  The kindergarten caters for 22 toddlers and young children each day.  The successful applicants will be part of a team of five full-time teachers and will be well-supported with generous non-contact time each week.  These positions are contingent on completion of maternity leave.  Duties to commence the beginning of Term 2, Monday, 19 April 2010. Taitoko Kindergarten (3 x Full-time and 2 x part-time positions) – This kindergarten, situated in Levin, is an integrated service, working closely with families through the Whanau Tangata Centre.  As part of this exciting project, the Licence is being extended to cater for under two-year olds, which has resulted in five new positions for teachers who are committed to working with infants, toddlers and young children. The successful applicants, who will be part of a team of 9 teachers, will be well-supported with generous non-contact time each week.  Duties to commence the beginning of Term 2, Monday, 19 April 2010. Ngahina Kindergarten (0.2 part-time position) – This is a permanent  0.2 part-time position in this kindergarten which is situated in Paraparaumu on the Kapiti Coast. It serves a diverse community and operates with 6-hour sessions, 3 days per week for older children and 4-hour, 10 minute sessions, 2 days per week for young children with 40 children in each group. This position will be a total of 8 hours per week, worked on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Duties to commence beginning of Term 2, Monday 18 April 2010. Maraeroa Pasifika Kindergarten Project

We are looking for a team of ECE teachers to work in our new purpose-built Pasifika kindergarten, which will cater for infants, toddlers and young children from the Cook Islands, Niue and Tuvalu communities.  We welcome applicants from teachers who are committed to working with Pasifika children and families. We provide high levels of professional development and support with generous non-contact time. Several positions are available.  Closing date Wednesday, 9.00am, 31 March 2010.
