Head Teacher – Salary Scale K2

Matairangi Kindergarten – Permanent Head Teacher.  There is a permanent Head Teacher position available at this kindergarten situated in Hataitai, in Wellington’s eastern suburbs, not far from the CBD.  It operates with 6-hour sessions every day.  The kindergarten caters for 22 toddlers and young children each day.  The successful applicant will head a team of four other teachers, and all are supported with generous non-contact time each week.  Duties to commence ASAP or as negotiated.  Applications close Wednesday, 15 February 2012 at 9:00 a.m.

Teacher – Salary Scale K1

Ngahina Kindergarten – Fixed Term Full-time position. This is a fixed term full-time position in this kindergarten which is situated in Paraparaumu on the Kapiti Coast. It serves a diverse community and operates with 6-hour sessions, 3 days per week for older children and 4-hour, 10 minute sessions, 2 days per week for young children with 40 children in each group. The successful applicant will be part of a team of five full-time teachers, each with generous non-contact time each week.  Duties to commence ASAP or as negotiated.  Applications close Wednesday, 15 February 2012 at 9:00 a.m.

Adventure Kindergarten – Permanent Full-time position. This is a kindergarten which is situated in Whitby, in Wellington’s northern suburbs. It operates with 6-hour sessions, 3 days per week for older children and 4-hour, 10 minute sessions, 2 days per week for young children with 10 children attending every morning. The successful applicant will join a team of 4 full-time teachers, and be well-supported with generous non-contact time each week. This is a permanent position and duties will commence beginning of Term 2, 2012 or as negotiated. Applications close Wednesday, 15 February 2012 at 9:00 a.m.

East Harbour Kindergarten, Permanent Full-time – There is a full-time position available at this kindergarten which is situated in Eastbourne, in the eastern bays of the Hutt Valley.  It operates sessionally, with an all-day licence and 40/40 roll with 6-hour sessions, 3 days per week for older children and 6-hour sessions, 2 days per week for young children. The successful applicants will be part of a team of 4 full-time teachers and 1 part-time teacher, and be well-supported with generous non-contact time each week. Paparangi Kindergarten – Permanent, Part-time (0.5) Teacher. This kindergarten is situated in the Northern Wellington suburbs.  It operates with 6-hour sessions, three days per week for older children and 4-hour, 10 minute sessions, two days per week for younger children, with 40 children in each group.  As a 0.5 teacher, the successful application will work 20 hours per week, over three days and will join a team of five teachers – three full-time and two part-time – each with generous non-contact time each week.  Duties will commence 5 March 2012 or as negotiated. Tawa Central Kindergarten – Permanent, Part-time (0.5) Teacher. This is a permanent part-time position in this kindergarten situated in the Northern Wellington suburb of Tawa. It operates with 6-hour sessions, three days per week for older children, and 4-hour, 10-minute sessions two days per week for younger children, with 40 children in each group. As a 0.5 teacher, the successful application will work 20 hours per week, over three days and will join a team of five teachers – three full-time and two part-time – each with generous non-contact time each week.  Duties to commence ASAP or to be negotiated. Wadestown Kindergarten – Permanent, Part-time (0.5) Teacher – A permanent part-time position is available in this kindergarten situated in the central hillside suburb of Wadestown, 10 minutes from the CBD. It operates with 6-hour sessions, 3 days per week for older children and 4-hour, 10 minute sessions, 2 days per week for younger children, with 30 children in each group. As a 0.5 teacher, the successful application will work 20 hours per week, over three days and will join a team of four teachers – two full-time and two part-time – each with generous non-contact time each week.  This is a permanent position and duties will commence ASAP or as negotiated. Head Teacher – Salary Scale K2 Ngaio Kindergarten – Relieving Head Teacher (1-year). This is a one-year Relieving Head Teacher position in this kindergarten situated in the Northern Suburbs of Wellington. It operates with 6-hour sessions, 3 days per week for older children and 4-hour, 10 minute sessions, 2 days per week for younger children, with 40 children in each group.  The successful applicant will be part of a team of 3 full-time teachers and 2 part-time teachers.  Teacher – Salary Scale K1 Bellevue Kindergarten – Permanent Part-time Teacher. This is a permanent, part-time (0.6) position, worked over four days, in this kindergarten situated in Wellington’s Northern suburbs.  It operates with five, 4-hour, 10-minute morning sessions and three, 2-hour afternoon sessions. The successful applicant will be part of a team of four teachers, and be well-supported with generous non-contact time each week.  Duties to commence asap in the first term of 2012 or as negotiated. Johnsonville West, Permanent Part-time (0.3) Teacher - There is a permanent part-time (0.3) position available at this kindergarten which is situated in the Northern Suburbs of Wellington. The position is 0.3 – 12 hours per week, to be worked over 3 afternoons.  It operates sessionally, with an all-day licence, with four children staying for both sessions. The successful applicant will join a team of 4 full-time teachers, and be well-supported with generous non-contact time each week. Duties to commence asap in the first term of 2012 or as negotiated. Owhiro Bay Kindergarten, Fixed Term, Full-Time Teacher (1-year) – A fixed term full-time teacher is required for this purpose-built full-day kindergarten on the grounds of Owhiro Bay School.  The Kindergarten provides high quality education for infants, toddlers and young children and works closely with the school as ‘one learning community’.  We provide high levels of PD and support with generous non-contact time of up to 12.5 hours per week.  Duties to commence 27 February 2012 or as negotiated and is contingent on maternity leave being completed. Paremata Kindergarten – Permanent Part-Time Teacher.  There is a permanent part-time (0.7) position available in this kindergarten situated by the sea on the Pauatahanui Inlet.  It operates with the older children attending for three 6-hours sessions and the younger children attending for two 4-hour-10-minute sessions each week, with 30 children in each group. The successful applicant will be part of a team of 5 teachers who are all supported with generous non-contact hours. Duties to commence  asap in the first term of 2012 or as negotiated. Petone Beach Kindergarten, Permanent, Full-time Teacher.  This is a permanent full-time position in this kindergarten situated in Petone and serves a vibrant community.  It operates with 6-hour sessions, three days per week for older children and 4-hour, 10 minute sessions, two days per week for younger children, with 35 children in each group.  The successful applicant will be part of a team of four teachers – two full-time and two part-time – and will be well-supported with generous non-contact time.  Duties to commence asap in the first term of 2012 or as negotiated. Tai Tamariki Kindergarten – Fixed-Term, part-time Teacher (1-year) – There is a fixed-term, part-time (35 hours) teacher position available in this new full-day kindergarten situated on the ground floor of Te Papa in Wellington’s CBD.  The Kindergarten provides high quality education for infants, toddlers and young children.  The teaching team is engaged in exciting research and is provided with high levels of professional support with generous non-contact time and leave provisions.
